The EQE SUV’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The Vistiq doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners.

When descending a steep, off-road slope, the EQE SUV 4MATIC’s standard Downhill Speed Regulation allows you to creep down safely. The Vistiq doesn’t offer Downhill Speed Regulation.

Earlier warning of stopped traffic, traffic signals, dangerous road conditions, weather, or accidents, can keep driver's safer and prevent crashes. The EQE SUV has Car-to-X Communication, a system that seamlessly communicates important warnings to the driver about impending danger, if they're available. The Vistiq doesn’t offer a system that can receive automated systems from infrastructure or other vehicles.

Both the EQE SUV and the Vistiq have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, front seat center airbag, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

Engine

The AMG EQE SUV’s standard electric motors produces 62 more horsepower (677 vs. 615) and 88 lbs.-ft. more torque (738 vs. 650) than the Vistiq’s electric motors.

Fuel Economy and Range

The EQE SUV has a standard locking charge port, which locks and unlocks with the power locks. The Vistiq doesn’t have a locking charge port. A locking charge port prevents tampering and damage.

The EQE SUV AMG offers optional heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The Vistiq doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.

Suspension and Handling

The EQE SUV’s drift compensation steering can automatically compensate for road conditions which would cause the vehicle to drift from side to side, helping the driver to keep the vehicle straight more easily. The Vistiq doesn’t offer drift compensation steering.

The AMG EQE SUV handles at .94 G’s, while the Vistiq Sport pulls only .78 G’s of cornering force in a Motor Trend skidpad test.

The AMG EQE SUV executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 2.5 seconds quicker than the Vistiq Sport (24.1 seconds @ .82 average G’s vs. 26.6 seconds @ .71 average G’s).

For better maneuverability, the EQE SUV with rear wheel steering’s turning circle is 3.7 feet tighter than the Vistiq Premium Luxury/Platinum’s (34.5 feet vs. 38.2 feet). The EQE SUV’s turning circle is .6 feet tighter than the Vistiq’s (40.4 feet vs. 41 feet).

For greater off-road capability the AMG EQE SUV has a greater minimum ground clearance than the Vistiq (7.6 vs. 7.2 inches), allowing the EQE SUV to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged.

Chassis

The Mercedes EQE SUV may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 550 to 950 pounds less than the Cadillac Vistiq.

The EQE SUV is 1 foot, 2.1 inches shorter than the Vistiq, making the EQE SUV easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The design of the Mercedes EQE SUV amounts to more than styling. The EQE SUV has an aerodynamic coefficient of drag of .26 Cd. That is lower than the Vistiq (.29) and many sports cars. A more efficient exterior helps keep the interior quieter and helps the EQE SUV get better fuel mileage.

Passenger Space

The EQE SUV has .4 inches more rear headroom and .4 inches more rear legroom than the Vistiq.

Ergonomics

Heated windshield washer nozzles are optional on the EQE SUV to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The Vistiq doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

The Vistiq’s cornering lamps activate a lamp on the front corner when the turn signal is activated. The EQE SUV’s optional adaptive cornering lights turn the actual headlight unit up to several degrees, depending on steering wheel angle and vehicle speed. This lights a significant distance into corners at any speed.

Model Availability

The EQE SUV is available in both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations. The Vistiq doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
